the interesting part of @RebateLaunch's cross-chain expansion is the decision to keep $REBATE on one network, even as the launchpad moves into others. The team reports that the pad is already running on a fork of the next chain, with bridge and burn tests completed. Stress testing is now underway. The proposed mechanism is straightforward. Instead of creating separate versions of $REBATE across networks, revenue generated elsewhere would return to Robinhood Chain to buy and burn the existing token. With a fixed supply of 1 billion $REBATE, successful cross-chain revenue flows would reduce the circulating supply without introducing another version of the asset. I find this approach interesting because expanding across chains often introduces additional liquidity and token management challenges. Keeping the token on one chain avoids some of that complexity. There's also an existing mechanism to build upon. On Robinhood Chain, eligible holders already receive USDG distributions, with payout weights increasing up to 2x based on holding duration. The project has reported over 1,500 holders, while supported Uniswap routing contributes to the existing reward and burn mechanisms. The verified contracts on Blockscout offer a way to inspect the current system. Cross-chain revenue transfers, though, still need to prove themselves beyond the reported bridge and burn tests. i believe the important distinction is between successfully testing a cross-chain mechanism and sustaining meaningful revenue through it. keeping one $REBATE makes the design simpler, but the long-term impact will depend on how much genuine activity those additional networks bring.
