most launchpads benefit from trading activity, but i've been thinking about how much of that value eventually reaches the people holding their tokens. that's an interesting difference i'm seeing with @RebateLaunch and its approach to $REBATE. instead of keeping the benefits of platform activity within the protocol, the model directs part of the value back to holders. With Uniswap routing now live, users trading through the Uniswap app on Robinhood Chain still receive bonus tokens while their transactions contribute to the platform's fee system. The mechanism works in two ways. Part of the trading fees goes towards buying and burning $REBATE, gradually reducing its supply from the original 1 billion tokens. A separate share funds automatic USDG distributions to eligible holders. What interests me is how holding duration affects those payouts. Rather than treating every holding period equally, the reward weighting increases from 1x to 1.5x and eventually 2x for longer holds. So participants holding the same number of tokens might receive different reward allocations depending on how long they've maintained their positions. There's no additional staking or claiming process. Eligible wallets receive their share directly, with the amounts determined by trading activity. After two days, $REBATE had already crossed 1,500 holders, with USDG distributions and token burns taking place. That provides early evidence of the mechanism operating, although holder growth alone doesn't establish whether the reward model will remain attractive over time. I also find the Uniswap integration important because it extends participation beyond the launchpad's own interface. More trading routes create additional opportunities for activity to contribute to the same fee system. still, the relationship between trading volume and rewards is worth keeping in mind. a functioning distribution mechanism doesn't guarantee meaningful payouts when activity slows. for me, the interesting part of @RebateLaunch is how it connects buying, holding, and platform usage within one economic model. the mechanics are already operating, but sustained trading activity will determine how valuable the benefits become for holders.
